The benefits of lemon and ginger green tea

Freshly brewed
I was supplied with 6 tea samples to review by Helen from Metrodecos. This organic, sustainably produced, lemon and ginger infused green tea is strikingly known as "The Devil Is A Woman". Leave the tea temple to brew for about 5-10 minutes so the aromatic flavours of the lemon and ginger are slowly released allowing you to enjoy your tea to its fullest. With a book in hand, I enjoyed my cup of tea and a plate of scones with a generous amount of jam and a dollop of clotted cream. Perfection!

Why should you love this?

I have listed 3 of my top reasons:
  • Health benefits- Green tea is highly beneficial to your health- read it up here. The addition of lemon and ginger makes this tea better than it already is. Lemon is a good source of vitamin C. It helps to repair cells, with weight loss, reduces swelling in your body and the chances of a stroke or cancer. Ginger aids tummy cramps, vomiting, dizzy spells and menstrual cramps. Both lemon and ginger prevents the likelihood to catching a flu or a cold. It increases sweat and detoxifies all impurities from your body.
  • It has calming effects- On a sunny day, this muscle-relaxing drink is best served chilled with crushed ice. So when you feel life is burdensome, studying is tiring or you have friendship or money or love problems et cetera, take a seat and enjoy a cup of tea out in your garden or maybe when you bath. (But don't fall asleep!) Believe me, treat your taste buds with this refreshing citrusy flavoured tea- it can send your mind to a world of peace and lift your spirits up a notch.
  • Environmentally friendly- The tea temples are biodegradable- they are are made from nylon strands which are woven into a mesh-like net. The holes are bigger than regular paper tea bags and this allows the tea leaves/herbs to easily soak in water, thus release more flavour. Tea temples are much better than regular paper bags as they are less likely to rip.

    1. Hi Jana, yes loads of people in Asia carry around a flask full of tea. My friend does it and people around him found it a little unusual but soon they got used to it. :P Tea is pretty amazing. :)

  3. I often hear about the health benefits of tea, and I really wish I was into it more. I have a hard time liking hot teas, yet I'm ok with the cold ones you can find in boxes or cans. I know those are filled with sugar and are bad for you though, haha. Lemon and ginger green tea sounds good though. I wonder if I'd like tea more if I drank them chilled with ice like you suggested (because I dislike hot drinks).

    1. These kind of tea is very beneficial for you. Ah yes, the very unhealthy sugary but delicious tea. <3 I love the healthy and unhealthy ones though I drink them sparingly though. :P Yes you can put ice in it if you want- it tastes so refreshing that way. Try it and let us know. :)
