| Specsavers opticians |
Hello everybody! I just came back from the opticians, Specsavers in woolwich, and I'm feeling quite low at the moment. It's because I found out that my eyesight has worsened to the point where I should be wearing my glasses everywhere I go. It's a pain in the bum! 1- Glasses do not suit me. 2- I forget to bring it with me when I need it the most. 3- They are uncomfortable to wear, I like it when I can do my shoe laces without fearing it will fall off . And so forth. I suppose it's myself to blame for not taking care of my eyes properly- I spend too much time on the computer. T___T I miss those days when I can just see everything clearly without glasses or contact lenses. Those days were so much brighter! I am seriously considering laser eye surgery to rid me of such hassle of visiting the opticians every year and purchasing ridiculously priced glasses. I bought my glasses for £69 today and I think my heart will be broken a little more when my bank statement arrives. As a student, I shoul be paying less~ Though, however, my day was lightened by a Specasvers assistant with black glasses and an accent who gave opinions about which glasses frame suits me and explained relevant info to me. A very friendly assistant! Kudos to him!
I will be collecting my glasses very soon and I will show you what it looks like. I took 2 photos of me wearing 2 inexpensive glasses frames which were £25 before I did my eye test. I thought I would be getting one of these but I ended up getting a pair for £65. I suppose it's worth paying more as the frame looks better and it's better quality and plus it has anti-glare lenses. I chose the frames with big lenses as it's easier to see around me and plus big glasses suit people with round shaped faces like me. Today as I was only visiting the opticians I threw on a pair of slacks and a green zip-up jacket. I went there make-up less. I'm giving my skin a break for once! I look very different with and without make up, more innocent I would say.
Just in case you are wondering, I'm not a mystery shopper. I'm just talking about my time
at Specsavers :) This is the address:

ohh nice! ya anti glare is a big thing, I got laser eye surgery back in December, it took longer to heal than most people but I'm loving my decision!
ReplyDeleteMy current glasses lenses are not anti-glare so it's a big problem for me when driving in the night.
DeleteI would love to get laser eye surgery done! I'm glad it's healed! :)
Hehe mystery shopper :P i really want to do Lasik as well but I'm both scared and optimistic.
ReplyDeleteMe too! It sounds pretty scary due to the risks involved ><
DeleteBut I'm sure that if everything goes well it would be well worth it!
DeleteI have astigmatism!! I was weirdly actually kind of glad that I needed glasses cos that meant I could get away with wearing fashion eyeglasses? idk :P You look super cute and innocent in those though!! Let me know if you ever decide to get the surgery -my dad did it and I might consider doing it if it's worth it + low risk.

lol! That is a point :P Aw thanks :3 I won't be doing it any time soon as my eyes are still changing. Yours too since you're still in your teens :)
Deletei have glasses too and alternate between them an contacts. laser surgery is definitely something to consider. and you look younger w/o makeup and still pretty ^^
ReplyDeleteAw thank you! I wish to use contacts too but I find them difficult to put on ><
DeleteAh, i feel your pain, except I brought it upon myself. I only needed it for reding but i got too lazy to take it off so i have to wear it everyday (since i was 11 T__T) at least your SA was kind enough to help you choose frames to suit you, specsavers SA's here aren't that helpful =/ looking forward to see what kinda glasses you have tho ^^
ReplyDeleteThanks! I actually brought it upon myself too. I used dim light for reading >< Having glasses is pretty inconvenient.
DeleteIt depends on the person I suppose. :) There might be nice SA's in your area.
I hope to show it on my next post. It's not very flattering on me. :D
