Wedges and Platforms in Fashion



We should thank Salvatore Ferragamo, the italian shoe designer, who introduced the notion of wedged heels to the fashion industry. Wedges is popular with celebrities and most fashion loving babes worldwide. They come in different types: wedge boots, wedge sandals, wedge platforms and more. If you would like to feel taller or make your legs appear a little slimmer, wedgies are for you. Of course, heels do the same job however they are not as comfortable. Wedges are perfect for the Summer. As they create the effect of slimmer legs, perhaps you could team it up with short flowy dress or denim shorts to make the most of your advantage. I have been loving wedged shoes and boots for a while and the above picture show you some of the ones I currently adore. The platform shoes by Jeffrey Campbell is a form of wedges so I thought it deserves to be in the picture. Platforms are similar to wedged shoes, they differ in a way that platforms have thick soles instead of thick heels. Also, they are definitely not comfortable, they are merely visually pleasing.

    1. Me too :) the slim wedge heel gives people a tiny bit of height. These are very expensive for me unfortunately. I must search for a similar substitute. :)
